Perfect Bound Books

Perfect Binding is a widely used soft cover bookbinding method. With this method, the pages and cover are glued together at the spine with a strong yet flexible thermal glue. The other three sides of the book are then trimmed as needed to give them clean “perfect” edges.
Perfect bound books have a square, printable spine and the cover is usually made from paper or card stock that is heavier than the interior pages
Authors commonly use perfect binding for fiction and non-fiction books because of its professional appearance and relatively low cost. For the very same reasons, businesses and organizations frequently use the perfect binding method on a variety of printing projects such as manuals, catalogs, corporate reports, and thicker product brochures.

Why Perfect Binding?

  • Less expensive than hardcover binding methods.

  • Accommodates a high page count.

  • Perfect for very short production runs as low as  50 books.

  • Forms a flat spinal edge which can be printed upon.

  • Provides a professional appearance.

Saddle Stitching

Saddle Stitching is one of the most popular bookbinding methods at Print All. Saddle Stitching is stapling in the creased spine of the book. Digitally produced products are stitch in-line as they are printed. This method is perfect for a variety of products including catalogs, manuals, booklets, programs, multi-page brochures, coloring books, magazines and periodicals, wall calendars, mailers, etc.
Two or more staples can be used to join multiple pages depending on the size and style of the product.

Why Saddle-Stitch Binding?

  • The least expensive binding method.

  • Fast turn-around time.

  • Suitable for very short production runs of 25 or more books.

  • Works very well for small page count books.

  • Books can be made in a wide range of sizes from small like pocket-sized products like tally books or calendars to large products like wall calendars.

  • Keeps books at a minimum weight so especially good for pieces that will be mailed or shipped.

Spiral and Comb bound Books

Spiral Binding or Comb Binding allow pages to be punched and bound together with plastic or metal coils or combs.
One of the primary benefits of a spiral bound book is that the pages can be opened a full 360 degrees (cover to cover). This allows an open book to fold back upon itself and yet still remain flat, so it stays open for easy reference and yet takes up minimal room on a desk or table.
An excellent choice for reports, sales presentations, proposals, directories, cookbooks, instruction manuals and maintenance guides.

Benefits of Spiral Binding

  • Books fully open and can lie flat for easier reference.

  • Can be used for very short production runs…for example, 10 books.

  • Coils come in a variety of diameters and colors to accommodate books of varying thicknesses and to complement printed product.

  • It allows for books to be made in a wide range of sizes from small pocket books to large wall calendars.

  • Coils can be removed and replaced so one or more pages can be changed out if need be.

Ring Binders are adaptable

Ring Binders, such as the popular 3-Ring Binder, are a very common method to assemble loose pages into book form. Print All can create custom vinyl binders with custom-printed covers and spines. We can also produce cover and spine inserts which can be slipped into standard clearview-style binders.

One of the primary benefits of a Ring Binder is that pages and inserts can be added or removed very easily. This makes a RingBinder an excellent choice when periodic updates are needed.

Ring Binders are available 1/2" to 5" diameter rings and are ordered by the ring size, not the spine width.

Ring Binder Benefits

  • Pages and inserts can be added or removed very easily so perfect for dynamic projects which require frequent changes.

  • Covers and spines of the binders can be custom printed for easy company identification and marketing messages.

  • Ring binders can lie flat on a desk for easy use.

  • Binders are durable and easy to clean and can be used for years.

  • Binders are available in a variety of sizes and colors for many uses and can blend into any corporate color scheme.
